Party In The Park
Party In The Park is an outdoor house music party held annually in Atlanta's Piedmont Park. Originally the event was to provide a safe place where black gay men could show affection for one another publically without being shamed or judged while partying. Each year the crowd gets bigger and bigger. This year the audience got the pleasure of enjoying tunes from some famous House Dj's and a performance from Dawn Tallman.
Thanks to International Stephen and the other members on the ACE weekend planning committee, The Hashtag Party was a huge success. It was one of the many events held during ACE weekend (Atlanta Carnival Experience). The audience had the opportunity to see performances from Soca artists such as Teddyson John, Skinny Fabulous, and the criminal winer himself Lyrikal. Black Rave Part

We UP Wednesdays
I Lounge is another popular night venue in East Atlanta Villages. Every Wednesday, Hit My Line Promotions offers independent artists a platform to perform in front of party goers. The best performance wins a free music video and promotion on their growing podcast. It's free if you are an artist performing and $5 if you are just attending.
Sisters and The Shrink Movie Premiere
A quick recap of the movie premiere of "Sisters and The Shrink" held at the midtown art cinema in midtown Atlanta, GA. It was a nice of laughter, support, and black excellence. Sisters and the Shrink is about a group of women, all going through their trials and tribulations of their own who seek therapy. During their therapy sessions they unveil some mysteries about themselves and create a sisterhood like no other.
Take Off ATL is an indie artist showcase that is held every Tuesday. It started off as Level UP ATL at Department Store, when it was open. The Dirty Boy Social club took the event and relocated it to UNION in East Atlanta Villages off of FLat shoals.
Lots of things go into play when putting together an event like Carnival. Every Catnival celebrations has different mas bands who each have their own type of costume selection for that year. In the months leading up to Carnival, each mas band has a big party, as a promotion for others to sign up and join. One of the biggest Mas Bands in Atlanta, is Madd Color. This is a slight recap from their costume presentation of 2018.

Smoke N Paint
Smoke N Paint is a new event held a few select Sunday's out the month in East Point of Atlanta, GA. It is a networking event for musical artists, and artists from around the city to come together for music , art and their love for marijuana.
Nailah Blackman Bliss Lounge Recap
Nailah Blackman, grand daughter to Soca musician and calypsonian Ras Shorty, visited Atlanta for the first time recently. She put on a show at one Stone Mountain's hottest Caribbean venues Bliss Lounge. She whined, jumped, pumped, and sang her hits SOKAH, Baila Mami, Baddish and even introduced the crowd to some new material. Ghetto Bell by Georgia Me
Georgia Me, an Atlanta native, performed her single "Ghetto Bell" at the the Black Cup House Party. She brought her comedic personality, along with her soulf swag and delievered an intimate, heart felt performance that touched every ear that had the pleasure of hearing her perform. She did two other poems that night however none were as memorable as "Ghetto Bell," a poem that takes priced in being from the "Westside" from Atlanta, notoriously know for being "hood" and or "ghetto."
